About Me

Hello, I’m Louise.

I’m a freelance writer based in Manchester

So, why do I write? For me, writing is an art. I love shaping and refining content and taking my time to pick the perfect word.

After working as a manager in various roles across health and social care for over 5 years, I decided I was ready for a new chapter.

Setting up my own business as a freelance writer has helped me to lean into my more creative side. Through my experiences as an NHS manager, I’ve Iearned how to tailor my language to influence change and achieve real results.

Writing has always been a passion. As a child, I was a self-confessed bookworm. A lifelong love of books inspired my to study English at Durham University where I was awarded a first class degree. I have since completed the Principles of Great Copywriting course delivered by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

I find inspiration through travel. My adventures usually involve whiling away the hours with a good novel and an espresso or checking out the local art scene. Closer to home, I love exploring the great outdoors; hiking and horse-riding make me feel alive.

You can find out more about me and my adventures in my blog.
