Email copywriting for an author

Delivering a seasonal marketing campaign

Email copywriting for a coach

Client

The client was an author looking to promote their self-help book Five Ways To Focus.

Project

Email copywriting services, including 2 x promotional emails in the run-up to Christmas.

Audience

There were 2 segments:

  • Purchasers of the book who might consider buying it for a friend.

  • Leads who hadn’t bought the book yet.

Goals and challenges

The client wanted to promote their book in the run-up to Christmas to encourage leads to buy a copy. They had limited time for marketing and wanted to make the most of their existing leads.

How I helped

I crafted two emails to create tailored messaging for each segment so the emails felt personalised and built rapport. I empathised with the goals and challenges of each audience group during the festive season to make the content relevant and timely. The alliteration infuses the playful, fun brand voice. I focused on the deep benefits of buying a copy of the book, such as becoming a thoughtful friend. The call to action reinforces what the reader will get out of it.
